HHCC elects 2023-24 Board of Directors

The members of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce elected the 2023-2024 Board of Directors at the 33rd
Annual General Meeting on September 12, 2023.

HALTON HILLS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Halton Hills, September 12, 2023 – Delegates of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce voted in the new 2023-2024 Board of Directors at the 33rd Annual General Meeting.

Board Chair, Stephen Stoute presided over the meeting of 28 member delegates and 52 proxy votes.

Highlighting the Chamber’s admirable re-accreditation status among only 68 accredited chambers in Canada, Stoute, reiterated the Chamber’s commitment to excellence and service. Stoute also teased the upcoming launch of a groundbreaking app, set to enhance marketing efforts and amplification for all HHCC members.

In his remarks, the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce's outgoing Board Chair unveiled their exciting new 2023-2026 strategic plan, expressing gratitude for the member and stakeholder support.

The plan focuses on four key pillars: revenue growth, expanded marketing reach, strengthened partnerships, and operational excellence. With a commitment to optimizing internal operations and community prosperity, the Chamber envisions a bright future.

For the 2023-2024 term, the Executive Committee appointed by the Board include Chair, Sean Ashbee (Grant Thornton LLP), Treasurer, Peter Sproule (Momentum Financial Services Inc.), and Past-Chair, Stephen Stoute ( Stoneridge Insurance Georgetown).

Directors returning include Chris Cambouris (Titan Tek Biz), Ray Chesher (Your Home Today Realty Inc.), Jamie Draves (Quinta Quinoa), Rob Juns (Carstar Georgetown Service Centre), and Karen McBride (BKM Virtual Support Services Inc.).

Joining the Board this year are Allan Ehrlick (Halton Region Federation of Agriculture), Prince John, (Business Development Bank of Canada), and Sam Karunanithi (Lawrie Insurance Group).

Regarding the new appointments, Stoute stated, “We are delighted to announce the valuable addition of a wealth of talent, experience, and expertise to our board this year. Ensuring that our board is a true reflection of the diverse industries within our community is a top priority, and we remain committed to strengthening our board through strategic recruitment efforts. We extend our gratitude to the dedicated continuing board members who have consistently served our community, and we extend our appreciation in advance to the newly appointed members for their forthcoming commitment
