Do you believe that a stable, trained workforce is essential to Halton Region’s prosperity?

Do you care about helping individuals in your community prepare for further education and in-demand employment opportunities?

If so, please consider joining our Board of Directors!

For over 35 years, LNH Adult Learning Centre (ALNH), a well-established, registered Canadian charity, has provided essential skills training and educational upgrading to hundreds of individuals in Halton Region. Through our tuition-free classes and educational partnerships, we help working-age adults to prepare for higher education and acquire in-demand job skills.

From our beginnings providing literacy training for Halton Hills residents, we have now expanded our program and geographic service area to serve all of Halton Region.

We’re welcoming new Board members who believe in our mission and can help us continue to build a robust organization with strong support, awareness, and partnerships throughout our communities, particularly our new service area, which includes Oakville and Burlington.

Volunteer Board members serve a minimum two-year term. We welcome individuals who bring with them a variety of skills, perspectives, and backgrounds, including community knowledge, management, marketing, public speaking, fundraising, or operational expertise. With your help, we can build a more prosperous community for us all, one learner at a time.
